This specific architectural complex is one of the most famous works done by American architect, Paul Rudolph, in the subcontinent. He tried to establish a typology of his work, which was further carried by the uprising architects of that time. Rudolph mainly tried to work with the structure, circulation and span, trying to reduce the typicality. Paul Rudolph was invited to Bangladesh by Ar. Muzharul Islam and designed the Bangladesh Agricultural University.
